Preach the Word

2 Timothy 4:1-8 (ESV)
1 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. 5 As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.

1 Corinthians 15:34 (ESV)
Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.

Go and sin no more!

Would Christ tell us to do something that we could not do?

John 8:11 (ESV)
And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.”
now I know [The earliest manuscripts do not include 7:53–8:11.]

John 5:14 (ESV)
Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, “See, you are well! Sin no more, that nothing worse may happen to you.”

Now I know this is not Jesus but!

1 John 2:1 (ESV)
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin.

1 Corinthians 15:34 (ESV)
Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.

Paul I'm the foremost Sinner.

1 Timothy 1:16 (ESV)
But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.

Paul is not saying he is still a Sinner he is saying he was the foremost But yet Jesus Christ displayed his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in Christ.
If Paul thought he was the chief Sinner would he still be telling people to be imitating him a Sinner?

1 Corinthians 11:1 (ESV)
Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.

1 Corinthians 4:16 (ESV)
I urge you, then, be imitators of me.

2 Timothy 3:10 (ESV)
You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness,

Now I'm not saying Paul believed he was perfect and did not stumble but if he did, he had an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

1 John 2:1 (ESV)
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
