Becoming Radicalized for Christ

Do Not Be Anxious

If you really want to be Radicalized for Christ here’s a start. It is a hard start but one we must do and understand. This is hard for me even though I know how God has looked out for the Pickens homestead it’s still gets hard not to worry. Sometimes I must sit back and remember what God has brought us through and has done for us. I must be ready to give it all up if God ask me too.

Matthew 6:25-34 (ESV)
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Just think about what is the worst thing that could happen. Death?

Philippians 1:21 (ESV)
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Philippians 1:23-26 (ESV)
I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account. Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith, so that in me you may have ample cause to glory in Christ Jesus, because of my coming to you again.

Put your complete trust and faith in Christ the Lord. And die completely to self.
That is a start of a truly radicalized life in Christ!

Are you truly ready for that radical life in Christ?
